Hi, I’m Carissa Begonia! Founder of CONSCIOUSXCHANGE, a multi-six-figure coaching business for BIPOC coaches, service providers, and creatives.
As a 2nd gen Filipina American, I found my passion for leading social change early on while climbing the corporate ladder and being the first, only, other in the room. Instead of always being told what was possible, I wanted to design my own future and define my own opportunities. My vision of freedom led me to entrepreneurship where I found life-changing success and the chance to help others do the same.
Through CONSCIOUSXCHANGE, I’ve helped hundreds of BIPOC entrepreneurs start, grow, and scale their own businesses to reach time and financial freedom. By removing barriers to knowledge, strategies, and resources, my goal is to make business success accessible and achievable so that more of us can exist in rooms where we feel safe and supported to share our who we are and achieve our dreams.

I became a sales coach because I’ve been lucky enough to have had a lot of help that got me to where I am today.
I am the son of immigrants, who had no education, no money, no understanding of the English language. My parents relied on community support and so did I. I could not have had any success in life without the help of others.
I started in sales when I was 12 years old. Before I had a paycheck, I had a sales job. In college, I marketed political campaigns. I worked in retail sales selling Iphones. I worked in call center. I was a licensed financial salesperson selling financial products. I worked in commercial real estate selling multi-million dollar investment properties. I own a local gym to help people transform their bodies and health and live their best lives.
Throughout my sales career, I have met incredible entrepreneurs who have tremendous gifts to share. I also met a lot of entrepreneurs whose work got lost or silenced because they didn't know how to sell their services and share their value. Entrepreneurs may fail simply because they are unable to sell their product or services. If they can't sell their product or service, they can't help people. And if they can't help people, the world loses.
For decades, I've helped rich people get richer. And after an experience of getting yelled at by a wealthy client rich who I bent over backwards for, I realized they only saw me as a broker, a middleman to seal a deal. They didn't appreciate any of the hard work I did to help them. I was part of a transaction. I was replaceable. At that moment I woke up and knew they didn't need or even deserve my help.
I also realized that for years I hadn't helped a person like myself. The person of color, the immigrant or children of immigrants who didn't come from privilege and wealth. I knew that my skills would be better used by people who had heart and were making a real difference in the world.
The accumulation of my experiences have given me a deep understanding of the sales process and the engagement necessary to close a sale. I’ve consolidated 30 years of knowledge into easy to understand actionable steps to help people go from hating sales to loving it.
Today, I am an amplifier and use my skills in sales to help BIPOC entrepreneurs build successful businesses. My mission is to help purpose driven entrepreneurs close sales, grow their business, and continue to change lives for the better.
